Utrecht Excellence Scholarships 2023/2024

Utrecht Excellent Scholarships 2023/2024 has been announced to the general public and interested applicant, interested applicants are expected to submit their applications before the deadline date, that is on the 1 February, 2024. Successful applicants are to study in Netherland and the date for the starting of the course is September 2024.

Scholarship Description:

The Utrecht Excellence Scholarship (UES) offers a number of international students from outside the European Economic Area, the opportunity to pursue a Master’s degree in a selected number of fields at Utrecht University.

Non-EEA International Students (EEA = the EU countries, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway)

Scholarship value/inclusions/duration:

The Utrecht Excellence scholarship can be awarded as tuition fees OR tuition fees plus the required income linked to a residence permit for study as set by the Immigration and Naturalisation Service, for one year.
The scholarship is awarded for the nominal duration of the programme and can be renewed for the second year of two-year master’s programmes.

Eligibility:

To be eligible for an Utrecht Excellence Scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:

You must belong to the top 10% of your graduating class.
You must not hold an EU/EEA passport and not be eligible for support under the Dutch study grant and loan system.
You must have completed your secondary school and/or bachelor’s degree outside the Netherlands.
You must have applied for an eligible international master’s programme with a start date of 1 September 2024.

How to Apply:

After submitting an application (or applications) for an UES eligible Master’s programme, before the determined deadline, non-EU/EEA students will have the option to submit an application for one Utrecht Excellence Scholarship from 1 November 2023. You will see the UES application(s) in your OSIRIS Online Application account dashboard.

Deadline For Application

Prospective students who wish to be considered for the scholarship must apply before 1 February 2024, 23:59 CET, after which the application portal will be closed.
