Pharmacy is the science and technique of preparing and dispensing drugs. It is a health profession that links health sciences with chemical sciences and aims to ensure the safe and effective use of pharmaceutical drugs

Pharmacy is one of the lucrative medical professions in Ghana. There quite a number of Pharmacy schools established in Ghana overseeing the training of pharmacists in the country. For the purpose of admission into the 2021/2022 academic year, we have decided to compile the list of universities offering Pharmacy courses in Ghana.

Who is a Pharmacist?

Pharmacists are responsible for preparing the dosage forms of medications, such as tablets, capsules, and sterile solutions for injection. They combine prescription drugs from doctors, dentists, and veterinarians.

What are the Jobs of pharmacists?

Pharmacists fulfill the prescriber’s intentions by providing advice and information, formulating, storing, providing correct dosage forms, ensuring the efficacy and quality of the medicine dispensed. Pharmacy practice requires an excellent knowledge of drugs, their mechanism of action, side effects, interactions, mobility, and toxicity.
