General Eligibility for Recruitment into Ghana Armed Forces
Eligible applicants should be:
- a Ghanaian citizen by birth.
- of good character.
- Not be less than 20 years and not more than 26 years by January 2023 for Regular Commission and not more than 30 years by 10 February 2023 for the respective Short Service Commission applicants.
- medically fit by Ghana Armed Forces standard.

Architecture
In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must have a First Degree from a recognized University/Institution in Architecture, be a Registered Member of the Ghana Institute of Architects, and must not be more than thirty-five (35) years of age by 10 February 2023.
Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (EME Corps)
In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must not be more than 30 years by 10 February 2023 and must have a First Degree and Masters’s Degree/Post-Graduate Diploma from a recognized University/Institution in any of the following:

Legal

In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must have any of the following from a recognized University or equivalent Professional Institution:
Medical Specialist
In addition to the general eligibility, applicant must have MB ChB/BDS or its equivalent from an accredited institution plus a relevant post-graduate qualification to the level of Membership/Fellowship (GCPS/WACS/WACP or its equivalent from an accredited College.
Dental Specialist from the following categories: Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, periodontist, Dental Restorative Specialist, Oral and Maxillofacial Pathologist, Oral Medicine Specialist, Oral and Maxillofacial Radiologist, and Prothodentist are eligible.
Specialist Anaesthesiologists are also encouraged to apply. All must have permanent registration with the Ghana Medical and Dental Council and not more than 40 years of age by 10 February 2023.
Medical officer & Dental Surgeon
In addition to the general eligibility, applicant must have MB ChB/BDS or its equivalent from an accredited institution.
Must have permanent registration with the Ghana Medical and Dental Council. At least one (1) year of working experience after housemanship in a recognized health facility and not more than 35 years of age by 10 February 2023.
Midwifery Officer
In addition to the general eligibility, applicant must have BSc degree in Midwifery from an accredited institution. Must have completed the mandatory clinical rotation.
At least two (2) years working experience is required and not more than 33 years of age by 10 February 2023. Must be registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council of Ghana.
Physician Assistant (Medical)
Applicant must have a BSc degree in Physician Assistantship or its equivalent from an accredited institution with at least three (3) years of working experience after housemanship in an accredited health facility.
Must have permanent registration with the Ghana Medical and Dental Council and not more than 33 years of age by 10 February 2023.
Audiologist
Applicant must have an MSc degree in Audiology or its equivalent. At least one (1) year of working experience as an audiologist.
Must be registered with the Allied Health Professions Council and not more than 33 years of age by 10 February 2023.
Specialized Nurses
In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must be Registered General Nurse and have Certificates in any of the following specialties: Critical Care, ENT, Peri-operative, Emergency Care, Plastic & Burns, and Pediatrics Nursing.
At least two (2) years of working experience in a recognized health facility is required. Must have registered with the Nurses and Midwives council of Ghana and not more than 33 years of age by 10 February 2023.
Nursing Tutor
In addition to the general eligibility, the applicant must have MPhil in Nursing/Midwifery or MSc/MA in Nursing/Midwifery with a postgraduate certificate in Education.
Must be registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council of Ghana. At least one (1) year of teaching experience in an accredited Nursing/Midwifery institution is required and not more than 35 years of age by 10 February 2023.
Chaplains (ARMY/NAVY/AIRFORCE)
In addition to the general eligibility applicants must have any of the following:
- First Degree(BA) in Theology or Religion from a recognized University? Theological Seminary/College.
- An ordained minister of the Methodist, Presbyterian, Evangelical Presbyterian, SDA, and the Church of Pentecost and be recommended for commissioning into the Ghana Armed Forces by the Head of the Church.
- A minimum of 4 years of pastoral working and probation/internship experience including two(2) years post ordination service in the pastoral service.
- He/she must have the ability to speak English fluently and at least one of the main Ghanaian languages.
- He/she must not be more than 35 years by 10 February 2023.
Imam (ARMY/NAVY/AIRFORCE)
In addition to the general eligibility applicants must have any of the following:
- First Degree in Islamic Theology or Religion from a recognized University? Theological Seminary/College.
- He must be an Alim Phedeen (Islamic Theologian).
- Fluent in spoken Arabic and English languages.
- Ability to read and write good Arabic and English languages.
- He must have practiced as an Imam for four (4) years, recognized by an Islamic Religious Institution/Body in Ghana.
- Must be recommended for commission into the Ghana Armed Forces by the Head of a recognized Islamic body in Ghana.
- Must not be more than 35years of age by 10 February 2023.

How to Apply for Ghana Armed Forces Officers Recruitment in 2022
- To join the Ghana Armed Forces as a RECRUIT or CADET acquire a scratch card at THREE HUNDRED GHANA CEDIS (GH¢ 300.00) through USSD CODE *447*160# or from the designated Post Offices
- Scratch gently to reveal the pin code. The scratch card can be used three times until a record is successfully submitted.
- Log on to the recruitment portal @ https://apply.mil.gh/
- Read through the entry requirements thoroughly.
- Click on the Apply Now tab to open the applicant authentication page.
- Enter your card serial number, and pin code and select your preferred arm of service, type of commission, and click submit.
- Enter your personal details and take note of the following from Pages 1 to 3: Page a. Select your desired vacancy and provide all other required data.
b. Upload a scanned copy of your passport-sized photograph of dimension (200 x 180 pixels), enter a valid e-mail address, and personal mobile phone number in the format (233244123456), and enter any other required data.
c. Enter your WASSCE/SSCE Index number, WASSCE/SSCE results slip serial number, and select a tertiary institution from the list of schools. Enter your graduating GPA/CWA and provide all other required data. Upload only scanned copies of the following: WASSCE Results Slip and First Degree Certificate (Degree, HND). - Click on the preview button to see a summary page of all data provided. Read through this page carefully and click on the back button, if there are any modifications to be made.
- Click on the submit button and expect an instant e-mail and text message, which includes your unique system generated Identification Number.
- Print and keep a copy of the generated report as you will be required to present it if you are shortlisted. However, if you lose your copy of the final report, go back to the recruitment portal, click on the Check Details tab, enter your unique identification number sent to you by sms/e-mail, and order a reprint.
NB: Each scanned document (Passport picture, WASSCE/SSCE results slip, and First Degree Certificate) to be uploaded, should not exceed 1 Megabyte and should be in JPEG picture format only.
