The university offers a wide range of Professional programs to cater to the working class who want to give a professional touch to the certificate they already have and their work. The programs are also good for newcomers too who want to build professional careers for themselves in a chosen discipline. The motivation is to provide flexible learning opportunities for everybody to build themselves academically in a professional manner. The following professional programs are available.
Professional Diploma Programmes
The university offers a wide range of professional Diploma programs. All programs are run part-time (weekend sessions) over four semesters (two years). Students who pass all courses with a CGPA of at least 1.5 at the end of the second year qualify to be awarded a Diploma. Those who obtain a minimum Grade Point Average of 2.0 will have the option to progress to the third year to do one more year for the professional Diploma.

Association of Business Managers and Administrators (ABMA) Programmes
ABMA Education is a professional Diploma award recognized by National Accreditation Board (NAB) – Ghana, as equivalent to HND at Diploma level 6. The program is run part-time (evening session) to allow working students and other caliber of students to have direct contact with professionals who provide tutorship for courses in the classroom. Applicants to the Tamale Technical University learning center enjoy multiple benefits including the serene learning environment and punctuality of tutors in the classroom.
With ABMA education, students have very exciting progression opportunities and the chance to continue their learning in world-class universities up to the final year of study.
