The University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) has called off its strike action. UTAG Called Off Strike-Lectures Begin for the Academic year.
After a series of meetings and consultations, UTAG agreed to call off the indefinite strike action. The UTAG body demanded good CoS which resulted in the strike action.
Universities in the country have reopened since January but no lecturer has stepped into the lecture hall. Parents and students have lamented about the harm the strike is causing.
As a result of the strike, some students have gone back to their various homes and others too didn’t report to school at all.
It is good news that UTAG Called Off Strike-Lectures Begin for the Academic Year for the first time this academic year 2021/2022.
Managements of various institutions may have to adjust their academic calendar to cover for what was wasted. Students and Lecturers are hereby informed that academic activities begin next week.
