The new academic year is getting ready to begin and applicants are invited to send their applications. Admissions are open at the University of Mines and Technology for the 2021/2022 academic year.
All persons who meet the general entry requirements of the university are entitled to admission if the application process goes right.

Applicants are to note that, to get access to the application portal, you need your E-Voucher.
Cost of Admission Forms of UMat for the 2021/2022 Academic Year
The sale of admission forms for Degree, Diploma, and Certificate programmes for the 2021/2022 academic year for Ghanaians is open. Below is the cost of admission forms for each category of programme.

Where to Purchase the Admission Form
Not all places can the voucher be bought but at specified places by the University. Here, you will find exactly where the E-Voucher can be purchased as directed by the University.

All foreign applicants are to log on to https://admissions.umat.edu.gh/international-applicants/admission-code-request.html to request the registration LOGIN DETAILS to register.
Applicants are required to purchase and submit one set of application forms only. Any applicant who submits more than one set of forms shall be disqualified. Any form that is not fully completed at the time of submission shall not be considered.

Deadline for Admission at UMaT
The closing date for submission of completed application forms with the relevant documents is Monday 10th January 2022.
NOTE: Applicants who have already submitted their applications and awaiting their WASSCE results MUST update their applications with their results no later than the closing date.
Grade Aggregate System for WASSCE and SSSCE Holders
UMaT uses the WASSCE Grading Systems for the selection of candidates. Aggregate 36 is the minimum entry aggregate into all programmes. The following table shows this Grading System and the SSSCE equivalent grades.
Grading System Used for Selection at UMat
The University uses the Standard WASSCE/SSSCE grading system for the selection of students. Applicants are required to have not more than aggregate 36 as the minimum grade. Any grade above that shall not be considered for admission. The table below shows the grading system and its interpretation.
