How to Write an Article to Score High Marks in WASSCE 2022
Below is the full guide on how to write a good article to score the highest mark and its components.
Heading
The heading of an article is also referred to as the topic. This is what the article is all about. This is the first thing to be written and it must be centered aligned and underlined with capitalization or initial letters of words capitalize.
The heading of the article will give the reader a brief of what your article is about. And so, it must be clearly and briefly written.
Introduction
This is where you will attract the attention of your reader. Here, you will make a complete thought of your heading. Give a brief introduction to what you want to write about. After that, provide the meaning of the topic as a whole.
Content
All the sense you need to send across starts from here. This is where you will provide details of what your topic means. Assuming you are writing on Teenage Pregnancy, in the content, you will let your audience know the CAUSES, EFFECTS, and PREVENTION of Teenage Pregnancy.
When you leave part of what will make a complete thought, your article won’t carry all the sense it needs to. The same applies to all topics of interest you are writing about.
You need to put the POSITIVE and NEGATIVE aspects of your topic in the CONTENT.
Conclusion
This is the ending part of your content, not your article. The conclusion part summarizes what you have written in the body.
They must explicitly say how it is that the article constitutes a contribution to knowledge. They must also address the implications for further research or action.
NOTE: The Introduction, Content, and Conclusion all come together to make the BODY of the Article
Things to Notice
Name and Identification
You will need to write your full name at the bottom of your article. Beneath/under your name, write a word or two that briefly identifies you.
It may be your form in school, your town or country, or maybe your profession.
Cover letter (For Publication)
If you are writing your article for publication, you need to attach a cover letter to it. The cover letter should be addressed to any of the media/Press for your article to be captured in the newspaper.
This is just a brief letter and does not require you to write much. Share this article and follow us for more educative content.
