University of Oslo International Scholarships 2021/2022 for Study in Norway
The University of Oslo International Summer School (ISS) Norway Scholarships are awarded annually to 50 exceptional students at the point of entry and also to existing students. The following criteria below are usually followed for candidate selection.
ISS usually offers a number of scholarships and grants, this year we will only be offering scholarships to the Norwegian language summer courses (NORA).
Who is eligible for a scholarship for the Norwegian language courses?
Applicants who study Scandinavian studies/Norwegian language at their home university may apply for a scholarship for the Norwegian language course Level 2, 3, and 4.
If this applies to you, fill out the scholarship form. You need to upload a Letter of recommendation and a Statement of Purpose in the form, please prepare these documents before you fill out the form.
What is included in the scholarship?
The scholarship covers the course fee, the students must cover all other costs.
Who is not eligible for a scholarship:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s course applicants
- Applicants to NORA0110IN Intensive Elementary Norwegian, Level I
- Former recipients of an ISS scholarship (except the students who received a scholarship in 2020)
Scholarship criteria
To be a successful ISS scholarship recipient, you must:
- Apply for a Norwegian language course, the NORA courses in the Application Portal
- Demonstrate that you meet the academic requirements
- Demonstrate a strong academic record
- Demonstrate the relevance of your academic and/or professional background to the course you apply for in your statement of purpose (see course descriptions for more information)

All applications for University of Oslo International Scholarships are done online at the scholarship website. Interested candidates can proceed to the university website for scholarship terms and condition and continue to apply for a scholarship through the link provided
